Final Land Development Plan Approved in Antrim Township, Franklin County

On Tuesday, May 22, Salzmann Hughes, P.C. client Chambersburg Health Services (“CHS”), part of the Chambersburg Hospital and Summit Health, obtained final land development plan approval for a 43,500 SF medical office building to be built in the Antrim Commons Business Park. CHS was represented during the land development approval process by Salzmann Hughes, P.C. attorneys Kurt E. Williams and G. Bryan Salzmann.

Zoning Hearing Board Decision Affirmed by York County Court of Common Pleas

May 29, 2018

On May 17, 2018, the York County Court of Common Pleas affirmed a decision of the Hanover Borough Zoning Hearing Board (the “ZHB”), upholding the approval of a special exception application granted to Hanover Hospital. The approval will allow Hanover Hospital (now part of UPMC Pinnacle) to demolish a former physician’s office and construct an off-site surface parking lot for use by hospital employees. Hanover Hospital was represented before the ZHB and during the appeal by Salzmann Hughes, PC attorney Kurt E. Williams.

Variance Approved in Antrim Township, Franklin County

On Thursday, May 10, 2018, Salzmann Hughes, P.C. client Matrix Development obtained a variance from the Antrim Township Zoning Hearing Board to increase the impervious coverage limit to facilitate the construction of two (2) industrial buildings and a connector road in the Township. On January 26, 2018, Salzmann Hughes, PC, along with other invited guests and employees of Shaffer Trucking, celebrated the opening of that company’s new facility in New Kingstown, Pennsylvania. Shaffer Trucking is owned by Nebraska-based Crete Carrier. Located across the Carlisle Pike from company’s original facility, the new depot sits on a 14-acre lot and will serve as a hub for 465 drivers and 80 office staff. The new Crete Carrier New Kingstown Terminal grounds will provide parking for 180 tractors and/or trailers. A 40,000-square-foot shop at the terminal offers tractor-trailer service and a body shop. There is also 16,000 square feet of office space.

On Monday, February 26, 2018, Salzmann Hughes, P.C. client New View Corporation obtained Final Subdivision Approval from the Fairview Township Board of Supervisors, to subdivide a 149 acre tract in the Township’s Commercial Business zoning district. The property also extended into neighboring Newberry Township. New View was represented during the subdivision approval process by Salzmann Hughes, P.C. attorneys James D. Hughes and Kurt E. Williams.
