Final Land Development Plan Approved in Antrim Township, Franklin County

On Tuesday, May 22, Salzmann Hughes, P.C. client Chambersburg Health Services (“CHS”), part of the Chambersburg Hospital and Summit Health, obtained final land development plan approval for a 43,500 SF medical office building to be built in the Antrim Commons Business Park. CHS was represented during the land development approval process by Salzmann Hughes, P.C. attorneys Kurt E. Williams and G. Bryan Salzmann.

Zoning Hearing Board Decision Affirmed by York County Court of Common Pleas

May 29, 2018

On May 17, 2018, the York County Court of Common Pleas affirmed a decision of the Hanover Borough Zoning Hearing Board (the “ZHB”), upholding the approval of a special exception application granted to Hanover Hospital. The approval will allow Hanover Hospital (now part of UPMC Pinnacle) to demolish a former physician’s office and construct an off-site surface parking lot for use by hospital employees. Hanover Hospital was represented before the ZHB and during the appeal by Salzmann Hughes, PC attorney Kurt E. Williams.

Variance Approved in Antrim Township, Franklin County

May 10, 2018

On Thursday, May 10, 2018, Salzmann Hughes, P.C. client Matrix Development obtained a variance from the Antrim Township Zoning Hearing Board to increase the impervious coverage limit to facilitate the construction of two (2) industrial buildings and a connector road in the Township. Matrix was represented during the variance approval process by Salzmann Hughes, P.C. attorney Kurt E. Williams.

2018 Cumberland County Area Friends Scouting Breakfast

Today, Salzmann Hughes, PC attorney Kurt E. Williams served as Chairman of the 2018 Cumberland County Area Friends of Scouting Breakfast. The event honored long-time Cumberland County businessman Kenn Tuckey of Tuckey Enterprises, a Carlisle based family of companies. The breakfast supports the Boy Scouts of America through the local New Birth of Freedom Council.

Attorneys Joel Rimby and Kurt Williams Present PSATS Seminar in Hershey, PA

Today, Salzmann Hughes, PC attorneys Joel Rimby and Kurt Williams presented a seminar at the 96th Annual Pennsylvania State Association of Township Supervisors Educational Conference and Trade Show in Hershey, Pennsylvania. The seminar was entitled “Land Use and Zoning Law Update,” and informed attendees on current land use law in Pennsylvania, focusing on recent court decisions and recent statutory changes affecting land development.

Salzmann Hughes, PC Obtains Final Land Development Approval in Shippensburg Township, Cumberland County

On Saturday, April 7 2018, Salzmann Hughes, P.C. client Shippensburg Investors, LP obtained Final Land Development Approval from the Shippensburg Township Board of Supervisors, to develop a 100-acre tract in the Township’s Industrial zoning district as a 1.1 million square foot warehouse/distribution center. Shippensburg Investors, LP was represented during the rezoning, conditional use, subdivision and land development approval process by Salzmann Hughes, P.C. attorney Kurt E. Williams.

On January 26, 2018, Salzmann Hughes, PC, along with other invited guests and employees of Shaffer Trucking, celebrated the opening of that company’s new facility in New Kingstown, Pennsylvania. Shaffer Trucking is owned by Nebraska-based Crete Carrier. Located across the Carlisle Pike from company’s original facility, the new depot sits on a 14-acre lot and will serve as a hub for 465 drivers and 80 office staff. The new Crete Carrier New Kingstown Terminal grounds will provide parking for 180 tractors and/or trailers. A 40,000-square-foot shop at the terminal offers tractor-trailer service and a body shop. There is also 16,000 square feet of office space.

Salzmann Hughes, PC Obtains Final Land Development Approval for New Warehouse in Southampton Township, Franklin County

On Tuesday, February 27, 2018, Salzmann Hughes, P.C. client Matrix Development obtained Final Land Development Approval from the Southampton Township Board of Supervisors, to construct a 1.14 million SF warehouse in the township’s Highway Commercial/Light Industrial zoning district. The land development approval followed a July 2018 conditional use approval by the Township. Matrix was represented during the entire land approval process by Salzmann Hughes, P.C. attorney Kurt E. Williams.

Salzmann Hughes, PC Obtains Final Subdivision Approval in Fairview Township, York County

March 06, 2018

On Monday, February 26, 2018, Salzmann Hughes, P.C. client New View Corporation obtained Final Subdivision Approval from the Fairview Township Board of Supervisors, to subdivide a 149 acre tract in the Township’s Commercial Business zoning district. The property also extended into neighboring Newberry Township. New View was represented during the subdivision approval process by Salzmann Hughes, P.C. attorneys James D. Hughes and Kurt E. Williams.
