CONDITIONAL USE APPROVED IN SILVER SPRING TOWNSHIP, CUMBERLAND COUNTY

On Wednesday, August 22, 2018, Salzmann Hughes, PC client Shaffer Trucking was successful in its application for conditional use approval from the Silver Spring Township Board of Supervisors for a proposed 19,880 SF building to be leased to Surface Preparation Technologies, LLC (“SPT”).    SPT plans to lease the building to design, assemble and maintain its fleet of equipment that installs rumble strips all over the United States.  SPT is the nation’s most experienced, reliable rumble strips contractor for shoulder and centerline rumble strips. SPT has cut over 150,000 miles of shoulder rumble strips and centerline rumble strips in every state combating drift-off highway crashes.  SPT was represented during the application and hearing process by Salzmann Hughes, PC attorney Kurt E. Variance Approved in Upper Allen Township, Cumberland County

On Thursday, July 12, 2018, Salzmann Hughes, PC clients Christopher & Jessica Chuckalovcak were successful in their application for a variance to the Upper Allen Township Zoning Hearing Board to obtain a variance from the rear yard set-back requirement in the Township’s PRD zone. Salzmann Hughes, PC attorney, George Douglas volunteered with the Carlisle Kiwanis Club to help distribute approximately 2,800 ten pound boxes of blueberries to customers of their annual sale.

On Tuesday, July 10, 2018, Salzmann Hughes, PC attorney, George Douglas volunteered with the Carlisle Kiwanis Club to help distribute approximately 2,800 ten pound boxes of blueberries to customers of their annual sale. George has been a member of the Carlisle Kiwanis Club for 27 years and is the Chairman of their Youth Services Committee. The Carlisle Kiwanis Club is the club that started the annual blueberry sale which has raised approximately $30,000 per year for the Carlisle Club which is distributed to youth organizations in the Carlisle area. The annual fundraiser has spread to many other Kiwanis Clubs in our area and as far north as State College, Pennsylvania.

Final Land Development Plan Approved in Antrim Township, Franklin County

Zoning Hearing Board Decision Affirmed by York County Court of Common Pleas

May 29, 2018

On May 17, 2018, the York County Court of Common Pleas affirmed a decision of the Hanover Borough Zoning Hearing Board (the “ZHB”), upholding the approval of a special exception application granted to Hanover Hospital. The approval will allow Hanover Hospital (now part of UPMC Pinnacle) to demolish a former physician’s office and construct an off-site surface parking lot for use by hospital employees. Hanover Hospital was represented before the ZHB and during the appeal by Salzmann Hughes, PC attorney Kurt E. Williams.
