Salzmann Hughes, P.C. is pleased to announce the promotion of E. Lee Stinnett II to a shareholder of the firm. Lee joined the firm after graduating from The Penn State University Dickinson School of Law in 2009. Conditional Use Denial Reversed on Appeal

November 21, 2016

November 15, 2016    A conditional use application denied in September 2014, was reversed today by the Cumberland County Court of Common Pleas.   Salzmann Hughes, PC client, the Group & Group Partnership, had applied for conditional use approval to operate a commercial trailer storage facility on its property in South Middleton Township.   After three nights of hearings, the Township denied the conditional use application and Group & Group appealed.   On November 15, 2016, the Court reversed the Township and approved the conditional use application.   Group & Group was represented during the conditional use hearings by Attorneys Kurt E. Williams and James D. Hughes and on appeal by Attorneys James D. Hughes, Scott T. Wyland and Kurt E. Williams.

Lee Stinnett II will be honored as one of Central Penn Business Journal’s 2016 Forty Under 40 award recipients for his commitment to business growth, professional excellence and community service at an evening reception and awards program at Hilton Harrisburg from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. This year marks the program’s 22nd anniversary.

Salzmann Hughes, PC Obtains Final Land Development Approval for new Warehouse in Silver Spring Township, Cumberland County

On Wednesday, September 28, 2016, Salzmann Hughes, P.C. client Exeter Property Group obtained Final Land Development Approval from the Silver Spring Township Board of Supervisors, to construct a 1.1 million SF warehouse in the township’s general industrial zoning district.  The approval followed a March 2015 conditional use approval and August 2016 subdivision approval.  Exeter Property Group was represented during the entire land approval process by Salzmann Hughes, P.C. attorneys James D. Hughes and Kurt E. Williams.

Attorney Kurt Williams Attends Transfer Event

Silver Spring Township, Cumberland County. At noon today, Salzmann Hughes, PC attorney Kurt E. Williams participated in the transfer of the historic Hogestown Church from real estate developer Phil Dobson to the Hogestown Heritage Committee of Silver Spring Township. Kurt Williams serves as Solicitor to the Committee and was instrumental in the negotiations with the property’s mortgage holder to eventually be able to transfer the historic property at no cost to the Committee, who plans to renovate the former church into a community center. The event was also attended by State Senator Pat Vance, Silver Spring Township Supervisors Nancy Konhaus Griffie, Carl Machamer and Dave Lenker, and Township Manager Theresa Eberly. Salzmann Hughes, PC Obtains Conditional Use Approval for Church Expansion in South Middleton Township, Cumberland County

On July 14, 2016,  Salzmann Hughes, P.C. client Carlisle Evangelical Free Church obtained conditional use approval from the South Middleton Township Board of Supervisors, to expand the church’s parking facilities onto an approximately 2.5 acre parcel the church plans to purchase from a neighboring property owner.
