On January 26, 2018, Salzmann Hughes, PC, along with other invited guests and employees of Shaffer Trucking, celebrated the opening of that company’s new facility in New Kingstown, Pennsylvania. Shaffer Trucking is owned by Nebraska-based Crete Carrier. Located across the Carlisle Pike from company’s original facility, the new depot sits on a 14-acre lot and will serve as a hub for 465 drivers and 80 office staff. The new Crete Carrier New Kingstown Terminal grounds will provide parking for 180 tractors and/or trailers. A 40,000-square-foot shop at the terminal offers tractor-trailer service and a body shop. There is also 16,000 square feet of office space.

Salzmann Hughes, PC attorneys James D. Hughes and Kurt E. Williams worked closely with Shaffer Trucking and Silver Spring Township to rezone the land for the new facility, obtain conditional use approval and finally, land development approval.
