Michaela E. Zanis concentrates her practice in the areas of municipal law and general litigation.
Michaela earned a Bachelor of Arts, cum laude, from Dickinson College in Carlisle, Pennsylvania. She majored in English and Law & Policy and received honors for her thesis, The Line between the Parent and the Child: An Analysis of the Complications Caused by Drug Addiction in the Dependency System. In 2022, Michael earned a J.D. from Penn State Dickinson Law. While in law school, Michaela received the Christian R. Burne Award after winning the Triston “Chase” O’Savio Moot Court Competition and the Francesca M. Kester Most Valuable Oralist Award. She competed on both Penn State Dickinson’s National Moot Court and Trial Advocacy Competition Teams. Because of her success on both teams, Michaela was inducted into the Order of the Barristers. Upon graduation, the Pennsylvania Bar Association named her the 2022 recipient of the Joseph T. McDonald Memorial Scholarship for Trial Advocacy.
Prior to joining Salzmann Hughes as an attorney, Michaela worked as a law clerk in the 39th Judicial District for President Judge Shawn D. Meyers and as a trial deputy prosecutor for the York County District Attorney’s Office.
