Mark A. Mateya has honed his craft on estate planning, estate administration, and probate services in the Harrisburg and Carlisle regions over nearly 30 years in practice. Mateya joined Salzmann Hughes, P.C. in July 2023.
Attorney Mateya graduated from the Dickinson School of Law in 1996. Prior to law school, he completed his undergraduate studies at The Pennsylvania State University in English and Philosophy. Mateya practiced law in Harrisburg for several years before opening his own firm, Mateya Law Firm, P.C.
Mateya has been a presenter for the Pennsylvania Bar Institute as well as the Dickinson School of Law’s programs for continuing legal education. He has also represented the County Commissioner’s Association of Pennsylvania as an assistant solicitor in multiple state-wide cases, including The Freethought Society vs. Chester County in which the display of the Ten Commandments on the courthouse wall was successfully defended.
Mateya is a member of Phi Beta Kappa. He was the past chairperson of the Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Council for the Bar Association of the State of Pennsylvania. Additionally, Mateya is a member of the Estate Planning Council of Cumberland County. He currently resides in Carlisle with his wife, Ramona. The couple share five children together.
