[Chambersburg]- Salzmann Hughes, P.C. is pleased to announce that senior shareholder, Attorney Samuel E. Wiser, Jr. has been named to the prestigious 40 in their Forties list by City & State. The inaugural listing, published in a special edition on September 30, 2024, recognizes the forty most influential and thought-provoking leaders and rising stars in their forties across their respective fields in the Pennsylvania public sector.

Sam is a senior shareholder and chair of Salzmann Hughes’ municipal practice group. Sam and his team represent over 100 municipal entities throughout the Commonwealth. Sam’s practice includes labor and collective bargaining, land use and zoning, code enforcement, municipal utility, and a broad range of other municipal matters. He also represents stakeholders in economic development and utility projects.
Sam has been honored to offer his nearly two decades of municipal experience in several publications. His timely commentary was featured in "Spotlight PA"'s December 2023 article series, "How Local Government Works: A key factor in determining property taxes varies wildly across Pennsylvania". In May 2024, Sam was recognized for his feature article, "The Sunshine Act- Often Referenced but Not Always Understood", in "Borough News", the official magazine of the PA State Association of Boroughs (PSAB), representing 955 borough governments.
Additionally, Sam frequently serves as a guest speaker and provides presentations for many municipal and government associations. Sam was recently invited to provide his observations and forecasts as a municipal solicitor at the 2023 Local Government Commission’s Symposium at the Harrisburg Capitol Complex for government policymakers.
The achievements of Sam and his fellow honorees will be celebrated at a ceremony on October 1 in Philadelphia.
