Marc T. Levin

Principal

Marc T. Levin is a Principal at Salzmann Hughes, P.C. with over 30 years of experience as a civil litigator handling complex defense matters throughout the Commonwealth.  He practices in the firm’s General Litigation and Municipal Law groups, representing public entities, businesses and individuals in a wide range of contested matters.  Marc also maintains a niche Entertainment Law practice representing musicians, songwriters, managers, producers and venues in the legal and business aspects of the music industry.  He also possesses significant, previous experience as the Director of Marketing in the corporate operations department of a national law firm.

Prior to joining Salzmann Hughes, Marc practiced with several well-established local, regional and national law firms. His clients included municipal entities, physicians, hospitals and healthcare systems, national transportation clients, insurers, private businesses and other institutional clients. Marc's litigation experience includes defending trucking accident matters, professional malpractice lawsuits, and myriad general liability claims. He has extensive experience defending high-exposure cases throughout Pennsylvania and has served as lead counsel in matters involving catastrophic injury claims, healthcare liability, and other multi-party litigation. In his entertainment law practice, Marc advised artists, producers, venues, management companies and creative professionals on a variety of industry-related issues. Marc's entertainment industry representation included working with artists at every stage of their careers — from emerging talent to major label bands and Grammy Award-winning artists.

Marc previously achieved the AV Preeminent™ rating by Martindale-Hubbell, reflecting the highest level of peer recognition for legal ability and ethical standards. He is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and New Jersey and is also admitted before the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania, the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, and the United States Supreme Court. He is a member of the Pennsylvania and Dauphin County Bar Associations, the Transportation Lawyers Association, and the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP).

He earned his B.A. from Bucknell University and his J.D. from Widener University School of Law.

Marc resides in northern York County and is active in Saint Theresa Parish, New Cumberland, as a guitarist in the folk choir. Other interests include flyfishing, writing and performing music, shooting sports, cooking and travel.
