Mary Beth Shank, a Principal with the firm, concentrates her practice mainly in municipal law but provides her clients with estate planning services, as well.
Mary Beth earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from Grove City College in Grove City, Pennsylvania. She went on to receive her Juris Doctor from the Pennsylvania State University, Dickinson School of Law in 2004.
Prior to joining Salzmann Hughes, Mary Beth was a partner with the law firm of Sharpe and Sharpe, LLP. Mary Beth currently serves as Franklin County Solicitor, having been appointed to the position in 2010 after serving as an assistant county solicitor for four years.
She is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association and currently serves as President of the Franklin County Bar Association. An active member of her community, Mary Beth is a lifelong member of First United Methodist Church of Chambersburg where she enjoys playing piano for the youth choir, serves on the Board of Directors for Keystone Rural Health Center and Cumberland Valley School of Music and is a former elected councilman for the Borough of Chambersburg.
