Salzmann Hughes, PC Obtains Final Land Development Approval for new Warehouse in Silver Spring Township, Cumberland County

On Wednesday, September 28, 2016, Salzmann Hughes, P.C. client Exeter Property Group obtained Final Land Development Approval from the Silver Spring Township Board of Supervisors, to construct a 1.1 million SF warehouse in the township’s general industrial zoning district.  The approval followed a March 2015 conditional use approval and August 2016 subdivision approval.  Exeter Property Group was represented during the entire land approval process by Salzmann Hughes, P.C. attorneys James D. Hughes and Kurt E. Williams.

Today, the Pennsylvania Commonwealth Court quashed an appeal of the City of Lebanon Zoning Hearing Board (the ZHB”) when the ZHB attempted to appeal a decision of the Lebanon County Court of Common Pleas that reversed a December 2016 decision of the ZHB. That December 2016 decision by the ZHB denied a zoning permit to Salzmann Hughes, PC client Pennsylvania Counseling Services (“PCS”). The denial of the permit prevented PCS from opening a Day Reporting Center (“DRC”) within the City’s Central Business District, which PCS plans to operate under contract from Lebanon County. The Trial Court reversed the ZHB and granted PCS’s appeal allowing the DRC to open. The ZHB subsequently appealed. Today, the Commonwealth Court quashed the ZHB’s appeal for lack of jurisdiction. In a related matter, on July 11, 2017, the Lebanon County Court of Common Pleas denied the City of Lebanon’s Petition to Intervene in the land use appeal. PCS was represented throughout the hearing and appellate process by Salzmann Hughes, PC attorneys Kurt E. Williams, Esq. and Scott T. Wyland, Esq.
