           Jim Robinson was raised and educated here in Cumberland County.  He learned the importance of listening, hard work and honesty in dealings while working part-time jobs during high school.  He worked full-time at a retail clothing store while earning his Bachelor of Humanities Degree from The Pennsylvania State University.  For twenty years after graduation Jim worked in credit related fields for some of the largest corporations in Central Pennsylvania; ITT Business Communication Corporation, The Hershey Chocolate Company, Mellon Bank and American Welding and Tank, a division of Harsco Corporation.  While working a 50-hour workweek there, Jim attended Widener University School of Law and earned his Juris Doctor degree in 1999.  He was admitted to practice before the Pennsylvania Supreme Court on November 1, 1999.

            Jim gained extensive experience as a transactional attorney at Turo Law Offices in Carlisle, Pennsylvania, specializing in contracts, business formation, wills, trusts, real estate, and municipal law.  He is presently the Solicitor for the Borough of Franklintown, York County, Cumberland-Franklin Joint Municipal Authority, a sewer authority operating in Cumberland and Franklin Counties, Shippensburg Township, Cumberland County, and the Cumberland County Association of Township Officials.

            Jim currently practices in the areas of business formation of for-profit and non-profit organizations, business support (contract drafting and review, etc.), estate planning, estate administration, real estate, and municipal law.  He holds a Resident Title Agent license from the Pennsylvania Insurance Department

            Mr. Robinson is a member of the Cumberland County Bar Association and Pennsylvania Bar Association.  He is active at his church and a member of the Knights of Columbus Council there.  Jim is presently the Treasurer of the Saint Thomas More Society of Central Pennsylvania.  He is a director and former treasurer of Safe Harbour, Inc. a non-profit charitable organization providing shelter and services to the homeless population, and a past secretary and treasurer of AHEDD, a non-profit charitable organization providing job training and placement to the developmentally disabled in Pennsylvania.
