G. Bryan Salzmann concentrates his practice in the area of environmental law, land use law, municipal law and related areas. A Dickinson School of Law graduate, Bryan was the recipient of the Carter Award for the highest combined grades in environmental law and natural resources law in his graduating class. He also holds a master’s degree in geo-environmental studies which includes specific emphasis on land use planning and zoning issues. Bryan’s previous legal experience has included insurance defense litigation with a Central Pennsylvania firm, as well as being associated with a Harrisburg-based environmental law firm.

Bryan has lectured on numerous municipal, land use and environmental topics for various organizations across the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Bryan’s statewide practice involves handling complex land use, environmental and municipal water and wastewater projects throughout the state on behalf of municipal organizations, economic development corporations and, private developers before municipal and county governments, zoning hearing boards, various court of common pleas, Commonwealth Court, and federal and state regulatory agencies such as the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, the United States Environmental Protection Agency and the United States Army Corps of Engineers

At Salzmann Hughes, P.C., among other responsibilities, Bryan is responsible for negotiating and reviewing provisions in the various contractual agreements that are necessary in the firm’s municipal and transactional work, including real estate development, business development and financing issues. Bryan also serves as special counsel and/or solicitor to various municipalities and municipal authorities. Bryan has also served as adjunct professor of environmental law and land use regulations at Shippensburg University since 1994.
