Attorney Hughes and Attorney Williams attend Groundbreaking Event

April 9, 2015, South Middleton Township, Cumberland County.   This morning, Salzmann Hughes, PC attorneys James D. Hughes and Kurt E. Williams participated in the groundbreaking event at 1 Ames Drive, hosted by Dermody Properties and its capital partner, Pacific Coast Capital Partners, LLC.   The groundbreaking was for a new 585,000 square foot warehouse/distribution facility, adjacent to a 700,000 square foot distribution facility occupied by Amazon.   Salzmann Hughes, PC was intimately involved in all approval and development aspects of both distribution facilities, including site acquisition, utilities, environmental permitting, conditional use approvals, land development approvals, building permit applications and leasing.

On Saturday, April 7 2018, Salzmann Hughes, P.C. client Shippensburg Investors, LP obtained Final Land Development Approval from the Shippensburg Township Board of Supervisors, to develop a 100-acre tract in the Township’s Industrial zoning district as a 1.1 million square foot warehouse/distribution center. Shippensburg Investors, LP was represented during the rezoning, conditional use, subdivision and land development approval process by Salzmann Hughes, P.C. attorney Kurt E. Williams.

On January 26, 2018, Salzmann Hughes, PC, along with other invited guests and employees of Shaffer Trucking, celebrated the opening of that company’s new facility in New Kingstown, Pennsylvania. Shaffer Trucking is owned by Nebraska-based Crete Carrier. Located across the Carlisle Pike from company’s original facility, the new depot sits on a 14-acre lot and will serve as a hub for 465 drivers and 80 office staff. The new Crete Carrier New Kingstown Terminal grounds will provide parking for 180 tractors and/or trailers. A 40,000-square-foot shop at the terminal offers tractor-trailer service and a body shop. There is also 16,000 square feet of office space.

Salzmann Hughes, PC attorneys James D. Hughes and Kurt E. Williams worked closely with Shaffer Trucking and Silver Spring Township to rezone the land for the new facility, obtain conditional use approval and finally, land development approval.
